Searching for a flight school near me or flight lessons near me in Los Angeles? Our school sits in the Main Terminal at Van Nuys Airport, in the middle of the San Fernando Valley and a short drive from the Westside, Hollywood, Santa Clarita and the Conejo Valley. Pick your neighborhood below, then come take the controls on a discovery flight.
Los Angeles is a big place, but most of it is within easy reach of Van Nuys Airport (KVNY). The airport sits on Balboa Boulevard near the 405 and the 101, so students from the Valley, the Westside, the 5 corridor and the 118 corridor can all get to the runway without crossing the whole county. That central location is a big reason people looking for flight lessons near me end up training with us.
We are an FAA Part 61 school open 9 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week, which makes it practical to fit lessons around work, school or family. Our fleet runs from the Cessna 162 Skycatcher and Piper PA-28 Warrior to the Diamond DA20, Piper Arrow, Piper Seminole twin and a Cirrus SR22 Turbo with a glass cockpit and CAPS parachute, backed by a Redbird MCX full-motion FAA-approved simulator. Distances below are straight-line miles from the airport.
The Valley is our backyard. From Lake Balboa next door to Burbank and Glendale on the east side, these neighborhoods are the closest to the runway.
